Moulin de la Ville

Moulin de la Ville or ‘mill of the town’ dates back to the 13th century when the bastide of Beaumont was first built by Edward 1st of England. The town has many features of historical interest and attracts thousands of tourists throughout the year. Situated 300 meters through the last remaining ancient gate to the town’s Porte de Lozier’s, down a quiet country lane is the old water mill. Set in 5 acres of peaceful French countryside a small river on one side and views of Beaumont on the other.

The conversion to a house was first undertaken in the 19th century but kept many of the original features, beams and stone etc. Steven and Sue purchased the house in 2003 and have gradually restored, improved and modernised it offering two very comfortable bedrooms with en-suite facilities, a lounge area, terrace and of course a semi professional kitchen.
